Job Description:

CLM Delivery Director - Key Responsibilities:

Project Delivery Success

·     Oversee project delivery as Director: Serve as CLM subject matter expert (SME) and project/program leader in billable capacity on CLM implementation and optimization client engagements, guiding Epiq resources through project management, requirements definition, future state design, solution architecture, and quality assurance. Oversee project progress and serve as escalation point for resolution of issues. Promote proactive communication internally and externally and support project teams to successfully go live.  Ensure client satisfaction while building long-term client relationships and identifying future expansion opportunities.

·     Lead CLM advisory and strategy engagements: Lead or participate as CLM SME in a billable Director role on CLM advisory and strategy engagements such as Current State Assessments, To-Be Process designs, Roadmap development, and Vendor Selection by driving requirements gathering and creating client deliverables.  Confidently present to client stakeholders and executives.  Share knowledge and best practices regarding various CLM technologies and current market trends. Drive engagements forward to successfully meet all project milestones and secure Epiq as a trusted advisor for engagements to follow.

Practice development and growth

·     Lead CLM business analyst team: Manage North American team of CLM BA resources including technical enablement, individual growth plans, project resource planning, and direct people management to ensure employee engagement and empowerment.  Contribute to the ongoing growth of the Contracts Solutions practice as a leader in the market for reliable, knowledgeable, and professional CLM experts known for delivery of enterprise success.

·     Own CLM project delivery methodology: Create technical best practice project delivery methodology for CLM engagements and enterprise programs that is repeatable and scalable for practice growth. Develop internal team enablement plan, train and empower technical resources for standardized processes, manage internal documentation and knowledge base, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.  

·     Overall client success management: Provide ongoing guidance to all delivery team resources, ensuring projects meet the initial client expectations set during the scoping phase and leading through the resolution of escalations. Lead internal project retrospective meetings to document learnings and share with the larger delivery team.

Support Epiq sales opportunities

·     Participate in sales scoping sessions: Collaborate with Epiq sales team to define project use cases, success criteria, scope, timelines, pricing models, and resource needs, ensuring they align with the Contract Solutions practice’s delivery capabilities. These sessions directly support practice growth by ensuring projects are scoped for both client success and future expansion opportunities.

·     Assist in delivery of RFPs: Lead or contribute to responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), collaborating on submissions from channel partners and overflow from Epiq-direct sales teams. The CLM expertise provided will ensure a competitive and compelling response to potential business opportunities, facilitating growth of the practice and securing relationships with channel partners.

·     CLM best practice SME: Act as a SME in sales meetings and proposal presentations, clearly articulating Epiq’s CLM delivery methodology to prospective clients. This ensures clients understand the structured and proven processes that lead to successful project outcomes, enhancing the credibility of the practice.

·     Enable Epiq sales teams: Contribute to the CLM knowledge base for Epiq sales resources to promote their ongoing enablement for better understanding of Contracts Solutions offerings.  May include recorded or live demos, presentations on recent project successes or trends in the market, and/or reference guides regarding various channel partner CLM capabilities.

Support CLM channel partner strategy

·     Channel partner success: Work closely with key CLM software vendors and channel partners to ensure alignment between Epiq sales, delivery resources, and channel partner teams. Provide input to ensure solutions proposed by channel partners are in line with Epiq delivery capabilities and client needs.

·     Maintain CLM knowledge base: Collaborate with channel partner success managers to ensure up-to-date CLM system documentation and technical guidance is available for CLM delivery technical resources. Develop understanding of CLM channel partner technology capabilities for various use cases. Support internal team champions for each CLM vendor and oversee enablement on new software releases and channel partner product roadmaps.

Drive CLM thought leadership

·     Generate client success stories: Lead or contribute to CLM success stories for completed implementations on various CLM solutions.  Collaborate with Epiq marketing to create public-facing case studies and joint channel partner collateral.  These materials position Contracts Solutions as a thought leader and trusted advisor, which is critical for business development and market penetration.

·     CLM expert and thought leader: Individually develop as an authority in the contracting and legal operations space.  Collaborate with Epiq marketing and Contracts Solutions leaders to contribute thought leadership assets for the practice, which may include writing blog articles, leading or participating in Epiq webinars and channel partner speaking events, and drafting CLM best practice social media infographics.  Stay informed and up-to-date on legal operations trends and upcoming market priorities that may impact Contracts Solutions and our clients. 

Your specific salary will be determined based on several factors:

  • Location-based market rate for the role

  • Your abilities in relation to the job specification

  • Performance during screening and interview

  • Pay parity with the wider team in the considered location
