About the role

 We’re seeking a dynamic, proactive, and solutions-focused Business Development Manager to join our Mortgage Lending team at Resimac.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for promoting Resimac’s mortgage lending products and services to aggregators across QLD. You’ll manage an established portfolio, identify and develop new business opportunities, build strong broker relationships, and drive outbound sales activity to support the continued growth of our mortgage portfolio.

You’ll be supported by a knowledgeable, high-performing leader who is committed to setting you up for success from day one. With an active aggregator portfolio to manage, you’ll have the opportunity to make an immediate and meaningful impact.

  • Develop new business opportunities through the identification and attraction of new brokers.
  • Provide technical support through scenario assistance / product guidance to Mortgage brokers to a high standard and on a timely basis
  • Produce and maintain a strategy and business plan to ensure targets are met in alignment with the overall business strategy.
  • Conduct broker meetings, training sessions, and product presentations with market analysis and insights
  • Meet agreed targets and maintain strong relationships with the broker base
  • Keep abreast of and assist brokers and internal staff with any issues in relation to loan applications and settlements.
  • Assist in the development of communication/marketing plans for all new and existing products to increase brand awareness and volumes.
  • Represent Resimac conferences, professional development days and similar events
  • Maintain up to date knowledge in all credit policies and applicable systems.
  • Ensure brokers are trained in all credit policies and front-end origination systems.

  • 3-7+ years' experience in Business Development, Account Management or Sales (or other related role) in the Mortgage Lending Space. Experience in the non-conforming/non-bank finance industry is highly desirable.
  • Experience within a goal and target oriented position within sales.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant regulatory laws.
  • Capable of utilising different communication and negotiation skill sets.
  • Comprehensive understanding of consumer and business lending principles and practices.
  • Ability to build rapport and develop relationships with clients.
  • High degree of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • High levels of tenacity and drive
  • Must be clearly results-oriented with “best practice” sought.
  • Ability to represent Resimac Asset Finance professionally to all external parties.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
