THE ROLE

Our mission is all about access. We promise to deliver the best organic and non-GMO products to American households—and we can guarantee that because of our Supply Planners. If you're passionate about Thrive Market's growth and helping our members get the products they need efficiently, this role is for you.

As the Senior Manager, Supply Planning, you will sit at the intersection of Merchandising, Operations, and Finance, shaping our inventory strategy while ensuring flawless execution across a fast-moving, high-volume assortment. This is a highly cross functional role that requires equal parts strategic foresight and operational rigor: you are a "big-picture" thinker who isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves to leverage data and build the systems that will power our next phase of growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Supply Planners, fostering professional growth and refining team structure to meet evolving business needs.
  • Oversee Thrive Market's purchase volume, spanning high-complexity categories and our Owned Brand assortment.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for Category Management, Product Innovation, and Marketing teams to ensure supply strategy is perfectly aligned with promotional roadmaps and new product launches.
  • Own the end-to-end inventory lifecycle; drive strategies to maximize in-stock levels while aggressively minimizing excess product and shrinkage due to expiration or obsolescence.
  • Own supplier performance and service level goals across multiple product lines; work through corrective action plans and navigate complex vendor relationships to resolve systemic issues.
  • Support, and often lead, company-wide and executive-level presentations, translating complex inventory and instock performance data into clear, actionable narratives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, or related field (preferably analytical/business related)
  • 7+ year of work experience in an analytically driven role, preferably Retail or Distribution, previous replenishment, buying, or supply planning experience is a plus.
  • 3+ years experience in a people management role
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
  • Experience in a high-growth company in the building phase of processes and systems
  • Creative and analytical thinker who can manage multiple tasks and prioritize work within tight, concurrent deadlines
  • Expert-level proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookups) and comfort independently pulling and interrogating data using SQL or BI tools (Domo, Snowflake, etc.) to inform strategy.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to an ever-evolving environment.

JOB INFORMATION

  • Compensation Description - The base salary range for this position is $145,000 - $165,000/Per Year.
  • Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and geographic location.
