SUMMARY

Project MORE is seeking a talented individual to assist our Marketing & Communications team with organizing, processing, and analyzing marketing data collected from various channels, including web, social, surveys, email, and donations/transactions. This position reports to the Director of Marketing.

Type: Intern

Term: 3 months from start date

Hours per Week: Approximately 10-12 hours

Workplace: Remote

This position is best suited for an individual interested in gaining experience within a well-organized, respected non-profit who wants to gain experience in their related career and give back to the community. The candidate will gain knowledge of the organization's LGBTQ+ community projects and utilize/build skills in data analysis, market research, database management, market segmentation, and web and social media analytics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze acquisition, donor, client, and other funnels and customer intent
  • Measure ROI of online and offline advertising, outreach, fundraising, and event campaigns
  • Analyze and report on marketing KPIs for web, social media, and promotions
  • maintain analytics BI platform (Zoho Analytics and Google Analytics)
  • Conduct competitive research and analyze benchmarking data
  • Recommend optimizations based on data and trends
  • Creating and developing reports that are easily digestible to a non-expert
  • Research, implement, and manage marketing analysis/tracking tools to support our promotional projects
  • Work closely with outreach, marketing, and event teams to identify opportunities for new client acquisition and broaden community reach


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Currently enrolled in college or a graduate with Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 1 year work or project experience working with data and analytics, preferably in a marketing or business context
  • Proficient with data culling, cleaning, organization, reporting, and interpretation
  • Able to effectively report on KPIs
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently independently and collaboratively
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, while meeting tight deadlines
  • Be a quick learner, self starter, and have cultural humility
  • Proficient knowledge of spreadsheet software (Sheets or Excel)
  • Available to devote at least 10 hours per week to the role with estimated -- 80% independent work, 20% team/collaborative work - some weeks may require additional assistance.
  • Must have some weekday evening and/or weekend availability for collaboration/meetings
  • Willing and able to pass a background check

Desired:

  • Degree/Certificate in Data Analytics, Business Administration, Business Information Systems, Marketing, Communications, Statistics, Computer Science, or other related field.
  • Familiar with marketing automation software
  • Familiar with data analytics programs like Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, Zoho Analytics
  • Familiar with Zoho (One) applications, especially CRM, Analytics, Campaigns, Marketing Hub, BackStage, Social
  • Familiar with LGBTQ+ community and nonprofit organizations and their operations
  • Available to volunteer for other campaign, virtual, and potentially in-person events
