Position Summary

We are seeking a Manager of Product Analytics who will be the lead for product analytics. You will be a hybrid individual contributor and manager who leads a small team with one clear mission: gleaning critical insights that the product organization needs to win. You don’t just report numbers; you surface the signal that matters. You run deep-dive analyses that reveal where we’re winning, where we’re leaking, and what we should do next. You build dashboards and experimentation so the team can monitor progress and test hypotheses but the heart of the role is turning data into actionable insight that shapes roadmap, prioritization, and strategy. You’re both a hands-on analyst who can crack the hardest questions and a people leader who grows the function and your team. This position plays a key role in supporting the product team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, operational excellence, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Glean and deliver critical insights. Your primary job is to surface the insights that matter—the ones that change how we prioritize, where we invest, and what we fix. Run deep-dive analyses across funnel, conversion, engagement, errors, channels, and customer behavior. Proactively identify opportunities and risks before the team has to ask.
  • Articulate the "so what." For every finding, deliver clear recommendations: why it matters and what we should do about it. Next steps, not just data. Make insights actionable for the VP of Product and the broader product org.
  • Lead a small analytics team. Manage and develop a small team; set direction and standards for how we measure product performance and use data in decisions. Coach on analysis craft, experimentation, and partnership with product and design. Balance their work with your own hands-on contribution.
  • Operate as a hands-on IC. You don’t only delegate—you write SQL, run analyses, and use AI-assisted workflows to move quickly. Stay close to the work so you can set the bar, unblock your team, and personally own the highest-impact analyses.
  • Build and maintain dashboards. Create dashboards (e.g. Mixpanel, Metabase) to track product progress and business impact so the team can monitor health and spot trends. Ensure the right metrics are visible and tied to decisions.
  • Partner with product, design, and engineering. Work closely with PMs and designers so analytics informs roadmap, discovery, and execution. Report into the VP of Product and ensure insights flow into strategy and prioritization.

Qualifications

  • Education: [Required degree(s), e.g., Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, design, or related filed OR equivalent practical experience
  • Formal training in UX, HCI or interactive design (preferred)
  • Licensure/Certification: None
  • Experience: 6-8+ years of experience with a strong emphasis on quantitative methods with 3-5 years of experience working on user-facing software products
  • Skills:
    • Track record of critical insights that drove decisions. You've led or been the senior voice for product analytics. Your work has turned data into recommendations that changed roadmap, prioritization, or strategy—not just dashboards, but insight that led to action.
    • Hybrid IC/manager experience. You've managed a small team (or equivalent mentorship/team lead) while staying hands-on. You can coach, prioritize work, and grow people while still doing high-impact analyses yourself.
    • Proficiency with product analytics and BI tools. You've used tools such as Mixpanel and Metabase (or comparable—e.g. Amplitude, Looker, Tableau) to build dashboards, track metrics, and run analyses.
    • Product-minded. You understand business drivers, customer behavior, and how product/design/engineering use data. You've made recommendations that landed with leadership and influenced roadmaps.
    • SQL and AI-augmented workflows. You write and refine queries and use AI to move quickly. You can do the work and teach others.
    • Healthcare or adjacent industry exposure. You have enough context to navigate the domain and ask the right questions.
    • Self-directed and outcome-oriented. You've owned projects and outcomes end to end. You're a maker who gets things done and can lead a small team to do the same.

Work Environment

  • Location: Hybrid/Remote
  • Schedule: Full-time; 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday with night and weekend hours on occasion as determined by the needs of the business and cross-facility travel as needed
  • Regular meetings with internal Product Design, Product Management, Product Data Analyst/Data Scientist, Business Analyst, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success teams.

Key Essential Functions

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while writing or reviewing documentation
  • Must be able to work on a computer for the entire shift
  • Must be able to attend virtual meetings with cross-functional teams
