The IT Portfolio & Planning Strategist plays a key role in developing and maintaining the overall IT Strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving measurable value across the organization. This position focuses on strategic service portfolio management, ITSM process adoption, and data-driven decision support to optimize service delivery and customer experience.

You are responsible for:

  • Defining and maintaining IT governance structures, guidelines, and frameworks within ITSM processes and service design.

  • Aligning IT strategic goals and directives with the broader business strategy through effective portfolio management.

  • Providing direction for organizational development by promoting adoption of ITSM processes, methodologies, and tools.

  • Performing data analysis, developing reports, and delivering presentations that translate insights into actionable recommendations for IT and business stakeholders.

  • Ensuring the effective use of methods, tools, and processes across the organization to support efficiency and standardization.

  • Driving opportunities arising from new technologies and evolving customer expectations to enhance business value.

  • Setting and leading the introduction of techniques, methodologies, and tools that align with current and future business requirements, ensuring consistency across user groups.

  • Supporting service design, onboarding, and configuration management within assigned domains.

  • Defining ITSM standards and applying best practices aligned with ITIL v3 and ITIL v4 frameworks.

  • Working hands-on with ServiceNow ITSM modules, CMDB, workflows, and service mapping to configure, maintain, and enhance processes.

  • Leading and contributing to ITSM methodology adoption and ensuring consistency, scalability, and continuous improvement across service delivery teams.

  • Contributing to the ongoing improvement of ITSM processes and service quality initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (required).

  • Master’s degree in Information Systems, IT Management, or Strategic Planning (preferred).

  • Certifications such as ITIL v3/v4, ServiceNow System Administrator / Implementation Specialist, PMI-PfMP, or COBIT are highly desirable.

  • Additional certifications in Agile, Lean IT, or Digital Transformation frameworks are a plus.

  • Proven experience implementing and managing ITSM and IT portfolio management frameworks.

  • Strong knowledge of ITIL v3 and ITIL v4 standards and methodologies.

  • Demonstrated experience working with the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

  • Proficiency in portfolio planning, governance modeling, and strategic prioritization of IT investments.

  • Advanced ability to analyze complex datasets, translate findings into actionable insights, and communicate results to diverse audiences.

  • Proven success driving transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities, and executing high-impact solutions.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across global, cross-functional teams.

  • English proficiency at C1 level or higher.

The base pay range for this position is:

Min $141,340 - Max $212,000

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
