Fixed Asset Accountant (Temporary – Immediate Start)

Location: Fully Remote
Duration: Temporary Assignment (Immediate Start through the end of January 2026)
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Fixed Asset Accountant to join our team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Fixed Assets and experience with Oracle Fixed Assets Module. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SOX requirements, and supporting timely reporting for both US and Canadian operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and process fixed assets and assets on loan within the Oracle Fixed Asset Module.

  • Calculate depreciation for financial statements and internal reporting.

  • Reconcile detailed fixed asset records with corporate financial accounting records.

  • Ensure timely and accurate accounting for capital items by collaborating with fixed asset owners.

  • Prepare period-end reconciliations using Blackline software and quarterly audit schedules.

  • Create intercompany invoices for transfers of fixed assets.

  • Prepare and post journal entries, including reclasses to/from equipment in process accounts.

  • Ensure timely month-end and quarter-end closings in accordance with reporting deadlines.

  • Support compliance with US GAAP and SOX internal control requirements.

  • Assist with special projects and other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).

  • 3+ years of accounting experience with a focus on Fixed Assets.

  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle Fixed Assets Module (required).

  • Experience with Blackline reconciliation software preferred.

  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance requirements.

  • Advanced Excel skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to partner effectively across teams.
