The DE&I Administrator is responsible for supporting the firm’s inclusive sourcing, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding practices as well as DE&I initiatives that promote equitable opportunities for all attorneys and business professionals. This individual acts as a liaison between Recruiting, People & Culture, and DE&I to design initiatives that will attract and integrate top talent. This position reports to the Director of DE&I. Essential job functions include:
- Develop and implement engagement initiatives targeting a diverse talent pool including but not limited to historically marginalized racial/ethnic populations, individuals with disabilities, veterans, members of the LGBTQ+ community, educational institutions, and professional organizations.
- Partner with Recruiting, Integration, and People & Culture to amplify DE&I best practices in candidate sourcing, interviews, onboarding, offboarding, and succession planning workflows and content for law students, attorneys, and business professionals.
- Partner with Recruiting and Talent Acquisition to create pipelining program and enhance recruitment priorities, leveraging DE&I best practices, including but not limited to:
- Assess current pipeline efforts, spend, ROI and identify key programs to grow.
- Develop high school outreach programs to improve likelihood of diverse participation in postsecondary law streams.
- Amplify opportunities for lateral hires through partnerships with third party hiring agencies.
- Identify and support strategic ways to create and amplify connections with law schools and act as an ambassador as needed.
- Foster external community relationships to introduce brand awareness and career opportunities by keeping partners up to date on hiring needs and hosting onsite and virtual informational sessions and workforce readiness workshops.
- Analyze trends, impacts, and opportunities through a DE&I lens:
- Utilize recruitment software to assess inclusivity and diversity.
- Analyze hiring, retention and exit interview data to strategically align opportunities with recruiting and onboarding best practices.
- Develop and track programs and initiatives against key performance indicators to show progress and effectiveness.
- Stay abreast of recruitment, onboarding and DE&I best practices and systems.
- Moderate travel to fulfill job responsibilities, including attending meetings, conferences, or site visits as needed (up to 10 times per year).
- Perform other duties as apparent or assigned.
Position Requirements
- 4âyear degree with major coursework in Human Resources or a related field; or combination of education and commensurate work experience required.
- 6+ years of experience working with recruitment practices, preferably in a law firm environment.
- 6+ years of experience working in a diversity, equity, and inclusion environment preferred.
- 6+ years of experience independently managing projects across departments.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and effectively collaborate with a diverse group of people.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a drive to connect with colleagues and new team members to understand practice needs.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity as appropriate to each situation.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and handle multiple projects simultaneously with little direction.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:
- State of California: $73,000 - $140,000
- State of Colorado: $67,000 - $120,000
- State of Illinois: $66,000 - $128,000
- Jersey City, NJ: $79,000 - 144,000
- State of Maryland: $71,000 - $107,000
- State of Massachusetts: $73,000 - $140,000
- State of Minnesota: $73,000 - $121,000
- State of New York: $68,000 - $147,000
- State of Washington: $71,000 - $135,000
- Washington, D.C.: $94,000 - $139,000
The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, however bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed, and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
