Our Parsons Baltimore office is now hiring for a Senior  Bridge Design Engineer with a desire to work on both conventional and design/build Bridge programs, to join our team in Maryland.  You can be a part of a global company that has transformed over 4400 bridges around the world!   In this role, you will plan and design Bridge structures to ensure structural reliability, resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will be responsible for the development of engineering computations, material quantity take-offs, estimates, surveys and designs.  Come join our winning team in Baltimore! This role offers fully virtual based US East Coast region. Hybrid remote is also offered.

 

Responsibilities

• Perform conventional and moderately complex bridge engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.
• May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-size project.
• Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
• Commitment to quality and continuous improvement through innovation, creative thinking and improved results.
• Establish and maintain cooperative and productive relationships with all employees, clients and other stakeholders. 

Qualifications

• 8 years or more of related work experience with bridge engineering design
• BS in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis is required
• MS in Structural Engineering is desirable  
• PE licensure is required at this level
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office and Microstation or AutoCAD
• Comprehensive knowledge of industry standard and specialty bridge design and analysis software

Salary Range: 

$83,300.00 - $168,700.00
