Job Summary

The Dedicated Consultant performs the day-to-day tasks related to leave of absence and accommodation management for assigned clients, guides employees through the leave of absence process, and communicates with all stakeholders. The Dedicated Consultant reports to the Manager of FMLA Administration.
What You’ll Do
- Act as an extension of the client’s human resources department to administer all aspects of the leave of absence and accommodation process for their employees.
- Complete all administrative tasks related to leave of absence and accommodation management utilizing a date-driven leave of absence system.
- Execute new leave requests, complete reminder phone calls, emails, and return to work communication.
- Determine eligibility for federal leave of absence and accommodation regulations (FMLA, ADA, etc.), state leave regulations, and other client-specific leave policies.
- Maintain accurate records in the system for each leave of absence and accommodation case.
- Communicate with employees about their eligibility for leave and wage replacement options.
- Generate and send all required leave notices and paperwork within the designated timeframe.
- Work closely with the employee to assist with timely return of required paperwork.
- Review medical certifications and other documentation to determine if employee qualifies for leave.
- Generate and send designation notices to employees within the appropriate time frame.
- Provide frequent updates to clients regarding an employee’s leave request, status, and return to work dates.
- Act in an advisory role for reasonable accommodations under ADA and process approvals per the client’s direction.
- Help clients navigate complicated leave of absence cases and regulations.
- Generate weekly and ad-hoc reports for clients and employees.
- Other duties and special projects, as assigned.

Who You Are
- A graduate of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources with 5 years of Human Resources experience with at least two years of experience working with day-to-day leave of absence, FMLA, state leave regulations, and ADA administration.
- A detail orientated individual with strong organizational and prioritizing skills, and the ability to be flexible and multi-task in a collaborative environment.
- Able to use independent judgment and expertise to manage groups.
- Someone with strong interpersonal skills who understands that our business objective is to provide superior customer service and can handle conflict in a professional manner.
- An internally motivated individual looking to grow personally and professionally.
- Qualified candidates possess above average analytical and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment
Flores’ standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET with an hour lunch. Roles may be approved for other schedules by managers. This role operates in a professional #LI-remote office environment. To be considered for this role, you must reside in one of the following states —AZ, CT, FL, GA, KS, ME, MI, MO, NC, NV, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WV. This role is mostly sedentary and consists of prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. This role also utilizes other tools such as a phone, copy machine, and printer. Common programs often used are Outlook, Word, and Excel. This position frequently communicates with Flores team members and candidates and must be able to exchange accurate information clearly in these situations.
