Qualifications:
- Have at least 10 years of experience producing and managing digital campaigns through multiple social platforms for advertising, or fundraising in a role at an agency, union, non-profit, political party or similar environment.
- You have experience managing and motivating direct reports, in addition to vendors and contractors all while working within senior leadership to create a supportive work environment.
- Strong client management experience, working one on one with clients under pressure while staying thoughtful and effective.
- The ability to manage multiple large budgets and report back to our teams quickly regarding the progress of our campaign results and provide clear analysis without being prompted.
- Strong judgment and critical reasoning skills, with the ability to navigate new situations.
- The ability to work independently and track progress and time using provided tools and resources.
- Previous experience directing expanding teams, contractors and vendors to produce finalized work.
- The ability to develop new ideas for clients and internal initiatives and then seeing them through to completion. The insight to identify when current campaigns have the opportunity for expansion and result in expanding our relationship.
- Strong presentation and training skills, ability to articulate smart and sometimes complex solutions in a straightforward manner to a variety of internal and external audiences.
- A sense of humour, a willingness to embrace both your own quirks and others’, and a passion for progressive issues.

You’ll do things like:
- Review and approve strategies using digital tools and best marketing practices that will aid our clients in reaching their goals. This would include writing, reviewing and approving strategic briefs and decisions regarding paid media selection, buying and targeting.
- You’ll lead the team to develop strategic briefs that lay out clear plans for digital campaigns, email campaigning, and online-to-offline actions.
- Oversee and review the building & optimization of online ad campaigns on Meta, Google, and other ad platforms, checking in with the digital team and contractors to ensure all campaigns are optimized and running as they should.
- Ensure that our processes around building, testing, and sending campaign emails on Nationbuilder, Mailchimp, Action Network, and other platforms, are working for internal teams and clients.
- Build and pitch digital strategies to internal teams and to client, maintaining buy-in throughout the campaign process.
- Attend client meetings
- Oversee web development projects, acting as a liaison and leader between designers, strategists and web developers.
- Collaborate with creative/content teams, providing feedback on analytics and campaign results to strengthen future work
- Direct and oversee the full digital team and freelancers/contractors and delegate tasks effectively.
- Report back to the senior leadership team and work between departments to ensure flawless execution.
- Manage sensitive client data across multiple platforms and perform analysis on data results. Measure the effectiveness of content using integrated analytics tools
- Improve reporting efforts, leading the team in actionable, data-driven reporting to provide real-time recommendations, including daily report monitoring. Looking for new tools to provide us new insights and pushing knowledge on measuring results.
- Identify and implement new and emerging tools, platforms, and technologies that may benefit Metric and our clients, staying up to date on digital trends ensure agency work is cutting edge
- Develop business opportunities with prospective and existing clients.
- Be consulted on for decisions related to the internal operations, such as processes and day-to-day functions, of the agency.
- Be the go-to project lead on larger scale contracts. This means learning about the client, doing discovery and guiding the client through developing strategy and, finally, leading the internal team through the project from kick off to completion.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time position. We expect the position to pay between $110,000 and $130,000 per year depending on the candidate.

Successful candidates must be based in and permitted to work in Canada. This is a remote work position.
